Laurie has made some changes! We are called "Laurie and the Lefties" now!
Laurie and the Lefties is the new adventure for veteran vocalist and songwriter Laurie Middlebrook-Spear. The core of the band is comprised of Laurie as principle songwriter, vocalist, and guitar, Dan Wall on drums/percussion/vocals, and Kevin Spear on bass and vocals. We are calling this "The Lefties Trio", and features Laurie’s amazing vocals with three-part harmonies including Dan and Kevin. As always, the focus for the band is to feature Laurie's original songs coupled with great songs that we love to play, and some songs that maybe you don't hear very often but love as well.
For the full band experience, you can expect to see Mark Ode on guitar/vocals and Wesley Knust on the keys. But hey, life is complicated, and we are fortunate to have a nice network of musicians to help us out, to include Mike Williams on the drums, as well as Jake Voisine on guitar, and Joe Balbaugh on various stringed instruments, including but not limited to guitar and mandolin.
The band is looking forward to playing for audiences throughout Michigan.

Laurie and the Lefties fill the summer air with their music. Great community event in the quaint town of Pigeon. Admission is $ 6. $8 at the gate. 7:00 - 9:00 pm So lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit on are appropriate; we do not have bleachers. We have a small concession stand and 2 port-a-johns (one handicap accessible). Parking is available on three sides of the Band Shell. The one parking area is a blocked off street, School Street, on the audience side of the Band Shell, which is reserved for handicapped parking You may bring your own cooler with refreshments, but since the Band Shell is on village property, by ordinance, alcoholic beverages are prohibited. In the case of inclement weather, our concerts are moved to Laker High School auditorium, 3 miles east of Pigeon on M-142 at 6136 W. Pigeon Rd, Pigeon MI. We make our decision to move our concerts by 2pm on the day of the concert. We post signs at the Band Shell. As well, we notify the local radio station WLEW FM 102.1 and ask to have the move announced. We also post a banner on the website. Patrons may also call 989-453-4391 for this information.
Laurie's guest for Songwriter Night at Pierce Road is the very talented Amy Petty. Laurie and Amy will share stories and songs starting at 7:30pm on Monday, June 11th. Come to The Pierce Road Bar and Grill for dinner, and stay for drinks and songs with Laurie and Amy.
